The Decaying Eggshell
1. Take one hard-boiled egg.
2. Put it in a glass of malt vinegar or a cola drink.
3. Leave for 24 hours.
4. Examine the damage to the shell .....and just think...this is exactly what sweets and fizzy or sugary drinks do to your teeth...mmmm!

Fluoride, which is in most toothpastes, can help in the fight against tooth decay. To test the effectiveness of brushing your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste try this
experiment, it's fantastic and the kids love to see the reaction after 2 days of
waiting. We have toothpaste with 3 times the normal level of fluoride that is particularly
effective. Email us and we
will gladly forward some to you.
You will need: hard boiled raw eggs, white vinegar, toothpaste with fluoride, an egg box, a clear glass and a waterproof felt tip pen......
All you have to do is...

1.Mark the egg with a waterproof pen
2.Put fluoride toothpaste in a section of egg carton.
3.Put the egg into the toothpaste and leave for 2 days.

4.Wipe the egg and place it in the vinegar.
5.It will take a while longer for bubbles to appear on the treated side of the egg as it has been protected.
Bubbles will appear on the untreated part of the egg.
